I’M NOT GOD, AND THAT’S OKAY!
Are you a controlling person?
Are you a person that must have everything perfect?
Are you always trying to take care of everybody and everything?
Or are you a person that wants others to think you are perfect?
Do you know when we do those things or act in those ways, we are trying to be God. We think we can do better than God, so we take matters into our own hands.
Have you done that?
I know I have.
And you know what, it can be very depressing. God is our Father, and He wants to take care of us. Believe me, God does not need our help! He is more than capable of handling all my problems, your problems and the other billions of people in this world's problems. That is how big our God is. So why are we trying to do it ourselves? Do you know that you are not God, and that is ok! Just know that God knows everything, He is not surprised by how you are trying to be. God knew us before we were even born. God knows all that goes on around the world and right in our own home. Believe me when I say that God can handle a lot all at once. Nothing is too hard for God. (Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27)
God can be everywhere and do everything at the same time and be everything to everyone and it will not faze Him one bit. Did you forget that God created the world and everything in it? Under God’s divine plan, everything works together for our good and His glory. ( And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[ a] have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28)
When we try to create a world the way that we would have it to be, we are trying to be God. Remember you’re not God, and that’s ok! So today why don’t you let God be God in your life, and watch how awesome your life will be! Trust God. Have faith in what He is doing in your life. (Numbers 23:19 NIV) God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? (Deuteronomy 3:24 NIV) “O Sovereign LORD, you have begun to show to your servant your greatness and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works you do? (Deuteronomy 10:17 NIV) For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.
Make these confessions.
Nothing is too hard for God, He can handle my life.
I will not fear because God’s got this, so I will walk by faith.
God releases His power into my life, and I will do what He has called me to do.
I will not fear. I will trust in the Lord. I will stand on His promises for my life.
I’m not God, and that’s ok!
