1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
I remember waking up one morning thinking “I just can’t handle another day!” Have you ever felt that way? Then you know exactly where I’m coming from. It’s not a good feeling, I can tell you that right now. As a matter of fact, it makes you feel like a complete failure. My marriage was shaky, kids were acting up, bills were sky high, and I just couldn’t accept the fact that I was part of the problem. My world was crumbling right before my eyes, and I needed to make a choice…I could go insane trying to solve my problems or lay them at the feet of Jesus.
That morning, I got myself up out of bed, washed my face, grabbed my Bible, and rushed into my prayer closet and placed my problems at the feet of Jesus. I knew that I couldn’t do anything without God, so why was I going to even try. I knew that without God I could do nothing, but with God I could do all things. I had to remind myself that no matter what problems were thrown my way, God was my shield and protector.
Remember that problems no matter how complicated or huge they may seem to us, they are no problem to God. We may never know what tomorrow may bring, but our risen Savior does, and that is all that matters. Today remind yourself that giving up is not an option!
